Axis and Allies:Europe is a spin off of the original Axis and Allies that focuses game play on the European Theatre of World War II. Germany, Soviet Union, Britain, and the United States are controlled by the players of this game. The designer made 11 major changes to the original rules in addition to the design of a new map. The changes are designed to better replicate the true tactical and logistical challenges faced by the countries involved in the battle for Europe. Experienced game players agree that the game leans toward a German victory, but it still is an enjoyable game. Victory is achieved by controlling your home capital and one other capital until your next turn.

In 2001, Axis and Allies:Europe won the Origins Award for Best Historical Board Game of 2000.
