Buried Alive match

Buried Alive match is a type of professional wrestling match occasionally seen in World Wrestling Entertainment. There have been only four instances of this kind of match since its introduction in 1996. The objective of the match is to put one's opponent in a specially prepared grave and to 'bury him alive'. It is like a casket match but instead of putting your opponent in a casket, you put him in a grave and instead of shuting the lid to the casket, you bury him. The match type is closely related to the in-ring gimmick of The Undertaker (Mark Calaway) who has participated in every buried alive match to date.
