Central School of Speech and Drama

The Central School of Speech and Drama is a United Kingdom government funded higher education college in London.

CSSD was founded in 1906 by Elsie Fogerty to offer a new form of training in speech and drama for young actors and other students. Part of the campus is at the Swiss Cottage site in North London. There is also a site at Oval in South London.

Courses are provided in acting, art, arts management, circus, costume, design, directing, drama & education, drama and movement therapy, dramaturgy, lighting, media education with English, musical theatre, performance, prop-making, puppetry, scenic art, scenic construction, scenography, set design, sound, stage management, technical theatre, voice and writing.
