| The World Wrestling Entertainment monthly hold an annual pay-per-view event. One event is usually three to four hours
long and feature between seven to ten matches. Pay-per-view events are a big part of the revenue stream for WWE. Along with
World Wrestling Entertainment, other
professional wrestling organizations hold monthly
pay-per-views as well, such as Total Nonstop Action.
Traditionally, World Wrestling Entertainment has a once-a-month pay-per-view schedule, which they had from the late '90s until
2003 totalling to twelve a year. But as of late, they are beginning to produce more
pay-per-view events, which totals to approximately fourteen or more.
Annual World Wrestling Entertainment pay-per-view events
¹ This PPV has had nothing about it officially announced, with the exception of the date; however, speculation is
rampant that it will be an Extreme
Championship Wrestling reunion show. This speculation has been furthered by WWE recently trademarking the name ECW One
Night Only.
- Note: These pay-per-view events could switch from their respective brands to the opposite brand (ex: Armageddon 2003 was a
RAW exclusive event but Armageddon 2004 was a SmackDown! exclusive event). Royal Rumble, WrestleMania,
SummerSlam and Survivor Series are joint productions of both RAW and SmackDown! These events could also change
dates making them occur in a different month.
