| Marissa McMahon (born June 22, 1973)
is the wife of WWE Executive Vice President, Shane McMahon. She was born in Yonkers, New
York and has one older brother and one younger brother. When she was 13, she moved to Greenwich, Connecticut, where she met Shane McMahon. On the
Howard Stern Show, Marissa described herself as "the girl next
door". Marissa attended Greenwich Academy, a private all-girls school and graduated from there in 1991.
Shane is the son of Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon, owners of World Wrestling Entertainment. Marissa used to be the Director of National Public Relations
for the WWE. She has worked directly with some of the WWE's "superstars" such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Rock, and Chyna. Marissa played an influential role in expanding the WWE through articles in various
magazines. As well, in 1999 and 2000, she hosted the
morning news show Livewire with
Michael Cole and Jonathan Coachman. In 2002, she appeared in her first feature film
as "The Bird Merchant" in the film The Scorpion King.
Marissa is the sister-in-law of Stephanie McMahon and WWE
Superstar, Triple H. She was also a bridesmaid in their October 2003 wedding in Sleepy
Hollow, New York.
In 2002, Shane and Marissa moved to Manhattan, into a custom-built, $4 million
loft. The space was designed by architect Chris Smith, a friend of Shane's, and whose firm also designed WWE New York in Times Square.
On February 13, 2004, Marissa and
Shane had their first child, Declan James McMahon. Declan is the first grandchild for Vince and Linda McMahon.
